Important notes about Haiti Pledge Data Set
  • The Haiti Pledge Data Set includes information about the pledges made by the international community to Haiti at the International Donors’ Conference (held on 31 March 2010) in support of the Government’s Action Plan for National Recovery and Development.
  • The Government of Haiti requested $3.9 billion support for an eighteen month timeframe.
  • Most donors who pledged have provided information about the resources available in 2010 and 2011 (amounting to over $5 billion).
  • Some donors have also pledged resources that will be available beyond 2011. The total amount of pledges is approximately $10 billion. Note: more information about donor timeframes for honoring their pledges will be available in the coming days.
  • The Haiti Fiscal Year runs from 1 October to 30 September each year. Some donors have pledged resources in accordance with this timeframe, while others have used the calendar year or their respective fiscal year. Note: more information about donor fiscal years will be available in the coming days.
  • Pledges received in currencies other than USD were converted using the UN official exchange rate for March 2010
  • The Haiti Pledge Data Set includes all information that has been provided by donors to the Government of Haiti with the support of the United Nations Development Programme and the Office of the Special Envoy for Haiti. Blank fields reflect missing data (not provided by the donor).
  • Some further adjustments to Priority Sector and Geographical Area classifications may be made.
